Interview with our HOTS Manager - Tom Cockram

Sun 20th Nov 2016 - 12:19pm : Heroes of the Storm : General

After the recent success of the Heroes of the Storm team currently representing ITG, I had a chance to sit down with the HOTS manager to see how they were progressing under their new coach.

“Kam (the coach) fits in very well with the team” Tom said, who has been a part of the ITG staff for several months now. “The environment has changed since Kam has joined us, I think she’s made everyone realise this (being successful) is possible if we put in the work”.

The Heroes of the Storm team, currently lead by Keenan "Keenan" Fox, most recently won the HeroesHype Red tournament.

After such an impressive tournament win, Tom believes that we must “remember why we are all here; for the love of the game and to continue our success”.

Tom has said that “we’ve focused a lot on improving our drafting, in order to give ourselves the upper hand before the game has even started.” Qualification for our next tournament, the Heroes Global Championship, starts on the 21st and depending on the bracket, Tom expects us “to be playing against the best in NA”.

When asked about our possible qualification, Tom remained humble, stating that “the more we practice, the more qualification is likely, but I am quietly confident that we will do well and qualify.”
